My focus right now is on triathlon, but during the long-distance running season ( beginning in autumn and through wrapping up with the marathon in February), there are plenty of opportunities to test yourself in area races. below are some of the races I've done recently.

ARA 30k
2:19:047:29/M
The 30k is always a beast in the Distance Challenge. This year they outdid themselves in choosing an absolutely brutal course. Survival and injury prevention were the main goals.

Decker 20k
1:22:296:39/M
Typically Decker is a cold, wet race. This year it was a warm (70s at the start), wet race. I hit the first mile too fast and paid for it on the last 5k. Pace was about 10s off what I was shooting for.
